Se ha realizado la premiación de los Video Game Awads en Spike TV galardonando a los mejores juegos del 2009. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves fue el gran ganador con los premios al juego del año, mejore gráficos y mejor juego para PlayStation 3. Left 4 Dead 2 y New Super Mario Bros Wii ganaron en Xbox 360 y Wii, respectivamente. GTA: Chinatown Wars es el mejor juego para portátiles y Shadow Complex el mejor juego descargable.
